Automatic lathe dog mounting device for cylindrical grinders

Cylindrical grinders have lagged behind in automation among machine tools. The main obstacles have been the demand for high-precision machining in the μm range, for which measurement has been a major bottleneck, and the lack of an automatic lathe dog attachment device. Various methods have been proposed to solve this problem. Matsumoto Machine proposes a measuring hand that can measure multiple points and an automatic lathe dog attachment device.

Here is a proposal for an automatic attachment device for lathe dog. By changing the attachment, workpieces from Φ10 to Φ50 mm can be set up and changed up to 8 times during the night, unattended.
